We hope that no matter what we do in life, the Gospel of Jesus Christ will always be on the front lines of our speech. This page is set aside to share the simple truth of the unchanging Gospel; literally translated – “Good news.”

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” – Genesis 1:1

All matter and substance is created and designed by God. Nothing has come to be, including you and me, that He did not meticulously fashion for a purpose. From the Earth, to the fish in the ocean, to the birds in the sky. From the smallest atoms and molecular patterns to the cosmos and the planets hung in them – God was and is behind it all.

In the Biblical account of creation, God created “man” last and told him to fill the Earth and subdue it. (Genesis 1:28)

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?” – Jeremiah 17:9

The two original humans – Adam and Eve – were then deceived by Satan to disobey God (whom all good things come from) and so brought sin into the world. We are born into sin, and the condition of the human heart is dismal. Each of us participated in the mutiny our species launched against God (Romans 3:23) and so made ourselves enemies of God.

Besides being born into sin, there are well over 600 commandments in the Old Testament that we must follow to be perfect. Clearly this is impossible, and daily we fail at the standard of God, heaping the judgement we deserve on ourselves.

“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8
But we aren’t to lose hope, for this isn’t the end of the story. God in His love sent Jesus as a perfect sacrifice for our sins. Through dying on the cross our sins were placed on Jesus and through Him (and Him alone) fully forgiven by God. Now Jesus is raised and alive, sitting in Heaven at the right hand of God, calling us to Him and offering the gift of eternal life with Him to anyone who believes and accepts Him as their Lord.

“Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.” – Hebrews 7:25
We are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. Morality won’t save, church on Sundays won’t save, and religion won’t save; only Jesus saves.
Does this mean morality and church can be ignored? No! But our hope for salvation is not in these things (Isaiah 57:12,) it is in a personal relationship with Jesus. If you believe Jesus is God and died for your sins, profess Him as Lord in your life and accept Him into your heart you will be saved from God’s wrath against your sin, and into eternity with Him. (Romans 10:9-10) Your sin is placed on the cross with Jesus and thereby forgiven. You will be adopted as a child of God, and what a beautiful thing that is!
